Elements of Art: Shape

The purpose of this unit is to explore the one of the seven elements of art; SHAPE. You will review what you should already know and dive a little deeper.

 

Before you get started remember the Art Agreement (click on the words Art Agreement if you want/need to reread the Art agreement)

Due to technical issues and other problems the study guide and unit have been split into multiple parts. Start with part one and continue to part two, etc.

Follow the steps below to navigate through this unit. Fill out your Study Guide as you go!

Part One:

    • Fill out your study guide as you watch
  2. On a white sheet of paper draw, label, and color the Images from the Art Element: Shape Video.
    1. Make sure your heading is on the page and that it is titled "Shape Video Image"
    2. Turn it in

    2. Click on the hyperlink for "Shape and Form" or scroll down the page till you find the Shape and form section.
    3. STOP when you reach the information on Space
    4. As you read, fill in your study guide.
  5. Activity from Art Element: Shape Video
    1. Follow the steps in the link above to complete the activity
    2. Make sure your heading is on the paper and that you have titled it "Video Activity"
  6. Getty Museum Shape worksheet:
    • Pick up a copy from the art cart, and complete the "Introducing Shape Worksheet"
    • Make sure your heading is on the paper
    • Turn it in
